Last week:
• An instant star as a freshman, Samoday is hitting .326 for the season and has led Seminole State (31-6) to its best record in the program's history.
• Paced the Trojans to six consecutive 3-0 victories in the past two weeks, blasting region rival Redlands Community College with 18 kills at .425 efficiency.
• Has scored 356 kills this year as Seminole State's go-to attacker while also leading the team in hitting percentage. Ranks second in digs and aces.

• The Cougars' top passer-hitter this year, Zauere has keyed Houston's rise to third place in Conference USA following last year's eighth-place finish.
