Player of the Week:Zuzana Markova

Last week’s action:
• Scored triple-doubles in four consecutive matches, leading ULM over Alabama A&M and Grambling State after losses to Southeast Louisiana and Nicholls State.
• Totalled 68 kills (3.8/set), 86 assists, 47 digs, seven blocks and seven aces.
• Has built a season-long triple-double, averaging 13 kills, 18 assists and 10 digs per match.
• Markova has transformed ULM since transferring from Kent State last summer. The Warhawks lost 40 consecutive matches in the past two years but stand at 6-4 this season.

"A world-class beach player, Zuzana is less refined as a setter but has vast talents at the position, including a superior competitive mentality. .... Dynamic attacker and crafty shotmaker at RH/LH. .... Ready for court time as a setter and/or hitter and will improve swiftly. .... Plays a smart, imaginative game with few errors and outstanding awareness."

Last week’s action:
• Named to the UC Davis Aggie Invitational All-Tournament team as Hofstra defeated Seattle and Air Force following a loss to host UC Davis.
• Instantly became a freshman starter this year as an attacker and primary passer. For the season Wills is averaging 3.0 kills and 2.9 digs per set as Hofstra has built a 9-6 mark.

"Exciting but unrefined player with a lively body and sharp instincts everywhere on the court. .... Has big moments as an athletic, aggressive swinger. She’s especially dangerous at terminating off-target sets. .... Can transition swiftly from passing to attacking."
