Last week’s action:
• Ended the undefeated run of Iowa Western, the nation's top-ranked junior college team. Maka posted seven blocks, a .500 hitting rate and three aces in CSI’s 3-1 victory.
• Scored 2.3 blocks per set in four weekend wins as CSI extended its record to 15-1.
• For the season Maka is averaging 1.4 blocks per set while swinging at .400 efficiency.

“Has a rare combination of fast-twitch muscle, massive power, and sharp instincts at the net. .... Her backwards approach violates normal recruiting standards, but she's a special athlete and relatively new player with big potential to be a collegiate force.”

• Powered North Florida with 3.6 kills and 6.1 digs per set as the Ospreys dominated the Winthrop Classic. UNF is riding a seven match winning streak.
