Spring Week #5: Anete Brinke

Last Week:

• Long Beach State’s beach team defeated Hawaii in the Big West Challenge at Huntington Beach, taking over first place of the Big West Conference.
• Brinke lost to Hawaii at the #3 flight, but she has won six of her last eight matches. Her partner is freshman Hailey Harward.
• For the 49ers’ indoor team Brinke is a six-rotation outside hitter.
• As a freshman Brinke helped Long Beach State win the Big West indoor title and place second at the beach national championship.
• The 49ers are on track to return to the beach national finals for the fourth time in six years. Long Beach State won the championship in 2013.
