Player of the Week: September 10, 2018

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #3: Liisel Nelis

Junior.  5'10" Outside Hitter.

Last Week:

• Nelis began the week by being named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week, then travelled west and won all-tourney honors at UC Santa Barbara’s Thunderdome Classic.
• Nelis is the NEC’s top hitter this year, averaging 3.63 kills per set.
• At the Santa Barbara tourney Sacred Heart lost to Texas Tech, Seton Hall and host UCSB. Nelis paced SHU with 38 kills and 29 digs.
• Nelis leads the Pioneers this year in kills, aces and total points.
• Before arriving in Connecticut, Nelis competed for Estonia’s national teams as a beach and indoor player.
