Last week’s action:

• Piegza led St. John’s past Connecticut 3-0 and to the top of the Big East Conference.
• The Red Storm is now 16-3 for the season after winning six consecutive matches.
• Piegza scored 36 assists against UConn and guided a .309 team hitting rate.

Last week’s action:

• Machos continued to cruise on offense. She scored 10 kills at .368 efficiency as Towson defeated Georgia State 3-0 and climbed to a 15-3 season record.
• It was Towson’s only match last week and its eighth consecutive victory.
