• Capping her mighty career, Avena was named for a third consecutive year to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference all-league team.
• Avena excels as a double-major in chemistry and physics at academically elite Macalester.
• The left-hander scored 3.6 kills and 2.8 digs per set this year, hitting at .274 efficiency.
• In Macalester history she ranks first with 190 caeer ace serves and third with 1,206 kills.
