Each week during the indoor and sand seasons, one player originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

2015 Sand Week #1:  Maryna Samoday

Indoor Positions:  Outside Hitter, Opposite.

Last Week’s Action:

• Samoday charged to a 7-1 record to start the season.  She’s a top contender for the pairs national championship this spring.  As a junior she reached the Final Four.
• Samoday’s partner this year is freshman Anja Licka.  Last year Samoday built a 17-5 record, competing with three different partners to win 14 of her last 16 matches.
• At age 20 Samoday placed fourth at the 2013 Under-22 European Beach Championship.
• Samoday’s brother, Valeriy Samoday, won the FIVB Beach World Championship at both the under-21 and under-19 levels.
