Player of the Week: November 5, 2018

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #11: Gala Galabova

Central Connecticut State University.

Northeast Conference (NEC).

NCAA Division I.

Reported to coaches by AVSR Global in 2016.

Junior.  6'3" Middle Blocker.

Last Week:

• Galabova continued to lead the Northeast Conference in blocking, and CCSU clinched a semifinal berth in the NEC championship.
• The Blue Devils won at Fairleigh Dickinson and lost at Sacred Heart.
• Galabova hit .400 in the two matches and posted four blocks.
• She is the NEC’s top blocker this year, averaging 1.2 blocks per set.
• This is Galabova’s first year as a middle. She was a passer-hitter in Bulgaria at the junior and women’s levels. At CCSU she played opposite and outside hitter as a freshman and sophomore.
