Player of the Week: May 1, 2018

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Spring Week #9: Kelsie Wills

Hofstra University. Graduated in 2015.

Reported to coaches in 2010 by AVSR Global.

Currently: Pr0 beach player.

Formerly: Pro indoor player (Paris, France).

6'1" Outside Hitter.

Home: Walton, New Zealand.

Latest Action:

• Wills has competed on beaches in 10 countries on four continents in the past year. Her partner is fellow New Zealander Shaunna Polley.
• They represented New Zealand at last month’s Commonwealth Games in Australia. Athletes from 71 nations competed in 19 sports.
• As an indoor player Wills remains Hofstra University’s all-time hitting leader. She scored 1,942 kills and averaged 4.03 kills per set.
• Wills was the Colonial league's Player of the Year in 2014. She won Hofstra’s MVP award as a sophomore, junior and senior.
• Wills grew up on a dairy farm. She was a six-sport star in high school.
