Fall 2019 Week #9: Liisel Nelis

Last Week:

• Nelis led Sacred Heart to three shutouts in the Northeast Conference. SHU swept Long Island, Merrimack and St. Francis Brooklyn.
• Nelis scored 32 kills in the three matches, hitting at .259 efficiency. She has paced the Pioneers to seven consecutive victories.
• Nelis is the only NEC player ranking among the league’s top 10 leaders in kills, digs and aces. She’s averaging 3.9 kills in NEC play.
• A four-year starter, Nelis earned all-NEC first team honors last year.
• Before she arrived in Connecticut Nelis competed for Estonia’s national teams as a beach and indoor player.
