Each Monday during the fall, one collegiate player originally reported as a recruit by AVSR is named AVSR Player of the Week for her cumulative performance during the current season.
Rachael Morgan
Sophomore;6' 2"Outside Hitter;Florida State University.
Home:Tauranga, New Zealand.
Last week:Led FSU over host Miami 3-1 and into the NCAA tournament as the nation's #3 seed, drilling 17 kills at a .516 rate (one error, 31 swings) and adding three blocks. Morgan is the year's only two-time AVSR Player of the Week (previously selected on Oct. 12).
Excerpt from original AVSR report:"All-purpose athlete, natural competitor, and an instinctive, partly-developed player with a terrific swing and sound basic skills. .... Won't be a freshman starter for a Top 10 team but will improve rapidly due to healthy fundamentals, versatile physical talents, and an easy feel for all phases of the game." [August 2007]
