Player of the Week:  October 27, 2014

Each week during the indoor and sand seasons, one player originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

2014 Week #9:  Ivana Didanovic

Barry University
Reported to coaches in 2012 by AVSR Global.
Home:  Belgrade, Serbia.
Sophomore, 6'3" Middle Blocker.

Last Week’s Action:

• Didanovic scored 20 kills at .543 efficiency as Barry defeated Rollins and Eckerd on the road of the Sunshine State Conference.  She committed only one error in 35 swings.
• It’s the sophomore’s second year as Barry’s top blocker and most efficient hitter.
• Barry moved to a 15-8 season record, its best since 2010.

“A big, efficient hitter and blocker ready to be a freshman starter at MB or RH. … She’s adept at a variety of plays and patterns, and she hits angles well with a quick arm.”

Hofstra University, Senior, 6'1" Outside Hitter.
Reported to coaches in 2010 by AVSR Global.
Home:  Walton, New Zealand.
Last Week:  The Colonial league’s top hitter and Hofstra’s all-time kills leader scored 27 more in two shutouts.  Hofstra moved to 21-3, and Wills reached 1,802 kills for her career.

Marie Reiterova

University of Central Florida, Senior, 5'10" Setter.
Reported to coaches in 2009 by AVSR Global.

Last Week:  Reiterova, already a two-time Player of the Week, led the nation’s 23rd-ranked team to shutouts of Houston and Tulane.
