Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.
Fall Week #3: Paula Neciporuka
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
Atlantic 10 Conference, NCAA Division I.
Reported to coaches in 2015 by AVSR Global.
Freshman. 5'9" Outside Hitter.
Home: Kuldiga, Latvia.
Beach: Under-18 European champion in 2015.

Last Week’s Action:
• VCU won four road matches, and Neciporuka continued to be the team’s most productive freshman.
• The Rams, now 9-2, defeated Virginia, Ohio, Howard and High Point.
• Neciporuka has succeeded at six rotations for VCU, which returned its entire starting lineup this season from last year’s team.
• As a beach player Neciporuka was one of the world’s top juniors. She won the Under-18 European Championship in 2015.
• Indoors she competed for Latvia’s women’s and junior national teams.

Sophomore, 5'10" Outside Hitter.
Latest Action: Nelis again led Sacred Heart. She scored 58 kills and 42 digs as the Pioneers split four matches. SHU defeated Fairfield and Iona, then lost five-setters to Syracuse and Dartmouth.
