• Budinska celebrated her birthday in Barcelona, winning a crucial road match in Spain’s Superliga. Madrid topped VC Sant Cugat 3-2.
• Madrid moved two points above Sant Cugat in Superliga standings.
• This is Budinska’s fourth year as a professional in Europe after five collegiate years in Florida as a beach and indoor player.
• She’s in her second year in Spain’s Superliga. Previously she led Switzerland’s VBC Val-de-Travers and Austria’s VC Tirol.
• Budinska was two-time beach champion of the Atlantic Sun league as an undergraduate at the University of North Florida.
• She won UNF’s top academic award for business undergraduates, then earned a master’s degree at Florida International University.
