Fall 2019 Week 15: Paula Neciporuka

Last Week:

• In the NCAA tourney Neciporuka and VCU fell to Sweet 16 qualifier Cincinnati 3-1 but held the nation's top hitter to sub-par success.
• The Rams limited Cincinnati’s Jordan Thompson to a .284 hitting rate, below her .343 average. VCU outblocked and outdug the Bearcats.
• Neciporuka is a six-rotation mainstay for VCU. She’s among the Rams’ leaders in kills, digs, ace serves and serve reception.
• This year VCU won its third consecutive Atlantic 10 Conference regular season championship. The Rams finished with a 24-7 overall record.
• Neciporuka was among the world’s top junior beach volleyball players. She won the 2015 Under-18 European Championship.
• Indoors she competed for Latvia’s women’s and junior national teams.
