Last Week:

• George Washington won its Atlantic 10 opener, and Valle, a 2019 transfer, continued to boost the resurgent Colonials.
• GW defeated George Mason 3-2. Valle scored 10 kills and five blocks.
• Valle is among the Atlantic 10 leaders in blocks and ace serves. She transferred to GW last spring from Texas Christian University.
• Valle played middle blocker for Mexico’s women’s national team and junior national team. At GW she’s mostly playing opposite. She was a latecomer to volleyball, with little formal training before age 16.

Excerpt from 2014 AVSR Global report:

“Powerful and dynamic. … Skills are unusually clean for a relatively new player. … She’s incomplete, but her foundation is broad and stable. … Generates great power with a short, quick arm swing.”
