Spring Week #1: Jade Šadeiko

• Šadeiko is leading Oregon’s beach team as a freshman, and the Ducks have posted their best-ever start to a season.
• Šadeiko and fellow freshman Bea Wetton are paired at the #1 flight.
• Oregon has won three of its first eight matches. The team’s best previous record in its seven-year history was last spring’s 5-11 mark.
• Šadeiko was an outside hitter last fall for Oregon’s indoor team. She’ll play outside or opposite this fall. Wetton is a defensive specialist.
• Šadeiko competed at home for Estonia’s women’s national team and in the Baltic Women’s League. She was Estonia’s top beach player.
