Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

• Kumanova is the top attacker and point scorer in the America East Conference this year as the league’s standout freshman.
• UMBC, with a 4-1 record, is having its best season since 2001.
• The Retrievers are bidding to win their first America East title.
• Kumanova is leading the conference in kills and total points. She is averaging 3.6 kills, 3.8 points and 3.0 digs per set.
• She won back-to-back honors as America East Rookie of the Week and Player of the Week in the season’s first two weeks of action.
• In Bulgaria Kumanova played for CSKA Sofia, a multi-sport club founded in 1948. She trained with Bulgaria’s national team program.
