Fall Week #1: Erika Zembyla

Latest Action:

• Zembyla scored 51 kills in three matches as UAB’s top passer-hitter.
• The Blazers defeated Charleston Southern 3-1 after falling in five sets to Tennessee Tech and tourney host Western Carolina.
• It was Zembyla’s first week of NCAA Division I action.  As a junior college star she led Hillsborough Community College to third place at last year’s NJCAA Division I National Championship.
• Zembyla will lead UAB’s beach team next spring.  She competed for the national team of Cyprus indoors and on the beach.

Last Week:  Galabova was an instant force in her freshman debut.  CCSU defeated Iona, Lehigh and Fordham as Galabova scored 22 kills.  She posted five blocks in the 3-1 win over Fordham.
