• Marinova has reached the semifinals of the Bulgarian women’s national championship. This is her second year as a starter in Bulgaria’s top league.
• Marinova’s team, Kazanlak Volley, will face defending national champion VC Maritza Plovdiv in a best-of-three semifinal series.
• Marinova has trained in Bulgaria's national team program since 2013.
• She competed in rhythmic gymnastics before taking up volleyball.
