Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

April 12, 2021: Andrea Tsvetanova

Western Nebraska Community College.

NJCAA Division I.

Sophomore. 5'9" Setter.

First reported by AVSR Global in 2018.

Latest Action:

• Tsvetanova leads the nation’s junior colleges in assists this year. She will guide WNCC this week at the NJCAA Division I Championship.
• Western Nebraska has a 26-5 record and has won seven consecutive matches as it enters the 16-team finals in West Plains, Missouri.
• The Cougars last won a national volleyball title in 2010.
• Tsvetanova is the assists leader among all divisions of the NJCAA. She has totaled 1,203 assists this season, averaging 10.8 assists per set.
• Tsvetanova has been a world traveler since birth, as her mother was a professional setter. Their homes included Russia, Spain, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Cyprus, Azerbaijan and their native Bulgaria.
• Tsvetanova’s setting career started in 2008 with Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus. She played more recently for CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria.
