Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #13: Andrea Tsvetanova

Latest Action:

• Tsvetanova ended the season with a massive lead among all NCAA players in ace serves. She scored 114 aces with only 64 errors.
• She also led the Mid-Eastern Conference in assists for the second consecutive year. She guided Coppin State to the league title.
• Tsvetanova smashed Coppin State’s single-season records for assists and ace serves. She also broke the Eagles’ career record for aces.
• The nation’s second-highest total of aces this year was 92, served by McKenna McCool of Division III’s Lasell University.
• Division I’s second-best total was 77, served by Southern Mississippi’s Mia Wesley. Nobody approached Tsvetanova’s ace-to-error ratio.
• As a sophomore Tsvetanova led the nation’s junior colleges in assists. She set Western Nebraska to the NJCAA championship tourney.
• Tsvetanova has been a world traveler since birth, as her mother was a professional setter. Their homes included Spain, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Cyprus, Azerbaijan and their native Bulgaria.
• Tsvetanova’s setting career started in 2008 with Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus. She played more recently for CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria.
