Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

February 14, 2023: Paula Neciporuka

Earned master’s degree in 2022.

Current Team: Arctic Volley (Finland).

Latest Action:

• It’s still Christmas time for Neciporuka. She’s in Rovaniemi, Finland, home of Santa Claus. She’s leading Arctic Volley in her first pro season.
• Neciporuka keyed two wins in Arctic Volley’s latest action. She’s the team’s top passer-hitter, playing in Finland’s elite women’s league.
• Arctic Volley’s home gym is the Santasport Olympic Training Center in Rovaniemi, capital of the Lapland region. Reindeer are neighbors.
• In the USA, Neciporuka played four years at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), winning three Atlantic 10 Conference titles.
• From VCU she transferred to Maryland, where she was the Terrapins’ top receiver and second leading attacker for the 2021 season.
• She earned a Maryland master’s degree in Business and Management.
• Neciporuka has captained the national team of Latvia at the women’s and junior levels throughout her indoor playing career.
• In beach volleyball Neciporuka was among the world’s best junior players. She won the 2015 Under-18 European Championship.
