Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

March 7, 2023: Katie Adamson

Latest Action:

• Adamson is PSV Salzburg’s leading middle hitter and blocker this season in her post-pandemic return to Austria’s top league.
• PSV Salzburg, based in Mozart’s hometown, faces Vienna’s Sokol/Post this week in a league quarterfinal best-of-three series.
• For two COVID years, Adamson stayed in her native New Zealand, playing for Auckland’s East Coast Bays and Harbour Raiders.
• During the same stretch, Adamson was head coach of the Westlake Girls High School volleyball team, a perennial national power.
• Adamson has been a fixture of New Zealand’s national team program since the youth level in 2009. She joined the women’s team in 2015.
• Adamson’s first stint in Austria was the 2019-20 season. She played for SG Prinz Brunnenbau, located between Salzburg and Vienna.
• After graduating from Saint Leo, Adamson earned a master’s degree in engineering at the University of Auckland.
