Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

March 28, 2023: Radostina Marinova

Long Beach State University.

6'1" Opposite/Middle Blocker.

2023 Team: Paris Saint-Cloud (France).

Last Week:

• Marinova powered Paris Saint-Cloud into second place of France’s top league, knocking off Nantes 3-1. Saint-Cloud is 20-5 in Ligue A.
• This is Marinova's fifth year of pro volleyball and her third year in France. She moved up this season from Evreaux to Saint-Cloud.
• Marinova is the top opposite this year for Saint-Cloud’s “Mariannes.” She doubled at Long Beach State as a middle blocker and opposite.
• In her only year at Long Beach, Marinova was the team’s top freshman and was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team.
• Marinova returned to Europe after her Long Beach season. Since then, she has played professionally and for Bulgaria’s national team.
• As a child, before taking up volleyball, Marinova trained in rhythmic gymnastics. Bulgaria is a longtime world leader in the sport.
