Player of the Week:Ingrida Zauere

Last week’s action:
• Scored 30 kills, 26 digs and eight blocks as the Cougars jumped atop Conference USA, defeating Tulane, Rice and Southern Mississippi.
• Has been an all-purpose, six-rotation force at Houston since freshman year.
• Was originally a setter as a junior player.
• A long-time beach player, Zauere placed ninth at the 2007 Under-21 World Championships, competing at age 17.

“Powerful, big-shouldered terminator and an aware, creative, six-rotation veteran ready to play LH or RH in upper-Division I. .... Has played volleyball since age 8.”

• Drilled 31 kills (3.1/set) at a .321 rate and collected 33 digs (3.3/set), leading North Florida in road wins at Stetson and Florida A&M and a loss at Florida Gulf Coast.
